From the Right: Is Obama good for the Jews?

My dear Walt Disney fan, Donald Duck? I thought for sure you would choose Goofy, but you did not. The comparison is a bit wacky for me anyway.

Back to the real world, where terrorists roam free and leaders of rogue countries contemplate (openly) how to annihilate Israel and maybe a few other countries, just because.

We are all familiar with the last overly-intellectual president, the Noble Prize winner turned anti-Semitic. The one that single handedly crowned the first ayatollah of Iran by using plenty of intellect and acting as soft as Snow White for 400 days. Yes, I mean good old Carter in case you are still scratching your head. So, if I were Obama I would first distance myself from Carter (at least as far away as from Jeremiah Wright) and secondly I would replace some of the “intellectual capacity”, as you call it, with simple common sense such as realizing that appeasement is another word for a white flag for the US and a free recognition for the nut case from Iran.

Now for the real pudding. Peace by submission, oh that is truly a noble idea, because that is what you are advocating. Looking for a president like Obama that would force Israel to do what the US thinks is right. A president, as you write, that would not “cower under the pressure of Israel and the American Jewish lobby”. Now that is what I call a great pillar to rest on and a giant democratic principal. Oddly enough, your suggestion brings to mind a classical piece by Charles Francois Gounod called the Funeral March of a Marionette, with Israel as the main and dead character.

I do agree with you on one issue (better one than none…). The president of the US should be able to say no to Israel but only on one condition. The US president will have to agree to Israel’s request to terminate the annual financial and other support for Israel. Sadly, the financial support over the last 60 years, which was gladly given allowed the US to treat Israel as a marionette and not as a truly free country. Strangely enough the US will keep resisting this request as long as they can, as Putin and Ahmadinejad most likely would say, leverage is as good as gold.

Settlements? Oh yes, how could I forget, the axis around which the whole world revolves. We all know of course that if only Judea and Sameria are returned to their “rightful” (and very peaceful, mind you) owners, aka the Palestinians, a world peace will rein. What would follow would be a real success story, just like in the Gaza strip, Bin Laden will become vegetarian and grow flowers instead of terrorists. My friend, keep cultivating these kind of ideas and I will need to find myself a new planet to settle on.

  1. Brzezinski and Buchanan are winking anti-Semitic votes for Obama, deliver USA to Pope’s basket of Bamana Republics. Talal got Pontifical medal as Fatima mandates Catholic-MUslim union against Jews (Francis Johnson, Great Sign, 1979, p. 126). Catholic Roger Taney wrote Dred Scott decision. John Wilkes Booth, Tammany Hall and Joe McCarthy were Catholics. Now we have a Catholic majority Supreme Court. NYC top drop outs: Hispanic 32%, Black 25% , Italian 20%. NYC top illegals: Ecuadorean, Italian, Polish. Bazelya case proves IRA-PLO-KLA links.

  2. I like the site and the lay out. I think you should post an opinion/article once a week to make it more attractive.
As for the discussion about Obama, I do not think we can give any candidate more power than they deserve. Their influence is rather limited in a democracy, since they can be replaced. Politics in Washington is powerful enough to make the necessary corrections for a sitting president. We have all seen and heard Obama’s speech the other day to Aipac….

  3. No argument about that. However, since the world as it stands now is more interconnected than in the past there are greater limits to independent actions. In my opinion it is true even for superpowers and especially more so for small countries like Israel. For example even though Israel’s army is undoubtedly the strongest in the middle east it really never uses it to its full potential because of the negative ramifications in terms of world opinion.
Like it or not we have to face the facts, the US has been our patron for the last 60 years and there is no end in sight.

  4. The Jews should be good for the Jews…

History and experience have taught us that the jews should not expect anybody to be good for them… they should be good to themselves and do what’s good for them….
